FAQs

  • What devices are compatible with this product?

PS5™, PS4™, PC, Mac, smartphones, tablets, and handheld gaming devices with Bluetooth audio capability or USB Type C port.

  • What’s the difference between Razer™ HyperSpeed Wireless and Bluetooth connectivity?

Razer™ HyperSpeed uses our low latency, 2.4GHz wireless technology found in Razer gaming headsets. It provides lag-free wireless performance when gaming. Bluetooth is recommended for more casual gaming sessions when latency is not too much of a concern or when taking calls, listening to music, and watching videos on-the-go.

  • Is there a special compartment to carry the USB Type C dongle along with the product?

No. In most cases, the dongle will likely be kept plugged into the gaming console or computer. While on-the-go, Bluetooth will be the primary mode of connectivity to compatible devices.

  • When connected to a device via the dongle and another via Bluetooth simultaneously, is it possible for audio from both sources to be mixed in together at the same time?

    No.

  • When do I use the External Razer™ HyperClear Supercardioid Mic instead of the built-in mic?

The external mic is recommended for voice communication while gaming on console or PC. The built-in mic is recommended for casual use-cases such as taking calls on Bluetooth devices. When the external mic is plugged in, all voice communication will be captured using that mic. When the mic is detached, all voice communication will be captured using the built-in mic. You get better voice quality with the external mic, but you get the convenience of not having something in the way with the built-in mic.

  • How does the Environmental Noise Cancellation (ENC) feature on the built-in mic work?

When the external mic is plugged in, all voice communication will be captured using that mic, allowing the built-in mic to serve its secondary purpose of actively listening for ambient noises that are not the user’s voice and cancelling them out, allowing the external mic to provide clear, isolated vocals.
